"Fluoride" Websites and Books

This section is continually updated. I picked what seemed to me the most credible links. There are additional sites on the web. Interestingly, there are little to no pro fluoride sites beyond the CDC and the ADA. I'll add those, also, when they are identified.

Second Look- Updated website Nov 2005

Protect Our Water Alliance (POWA) is a loose affiliation of individuals and organizations throughout the United States interested in using electronic campaigns for the purpose of raising awareness about environmental health concerns regarding fluoride and fluorine compounds. POWA campaigns will address the wisdom of the public policy and implementation of water fluoridation, and other uses of fluoride and fluorine compounds that may result in environmental contamination and/or detrimental health effects.

Rather than becoming "members", affiliated individuals and organizations participate in POWA by signing onto the campaigns of their choice and forwarding notices of those campaigns to their own members or acquaintances, and to potentially interested individuals and organizations in their spheres of influence.

Fluoride Action Network An international coalition to end water fluoridation and alert people to fluoride's health and environmental risks. Has links to current fluoride news and to groups around the world working to stop fluoridation in their town, state or country.

Second Look (a Tides Center project) is a national, educational non-profit initiative. We are concerned with the science and politics of public policies based on "acceptable" levels of risk that result in "low-level" toxic contamination with possible long-term health and environmental damage.

Keepers of the Well This site provides documents that can help citizens in their quest to preserve their municipal water quality. Presented by Citizens for Safe Drinking Water, Jeff Green, Director.

Fluoride Journal A scientific journal that includes original research as well as abstracts of articles published in other scientific literature.
